Came here because we were told that this was Austin's version of In N Out. I didn't think much of it. Coming from California, any burger place invites comparisons to In N Out, and for good reason. In N Out checks many boxes: it's fast food that feels fresh, it's inexpensive, it's consistently good. It's popularity (and maybe even the hype) is well-earned. That being said, I think P Terry's is just as good, if not better. This is borderline blasphemy for a Californian to admit. I had the double cheeseburger to give an apt comparison to In N Out, and it hit all the same notes: ingredients tasted fresh, it wasn't super greasy, all around just a good cheeseburger. Now, where it wins is that the fries are better (One of In N Out's weak points) and somehow the price point is even lower than an already inexpensive In N Out. Admittedly, the burger comparisons are ultimately a little silly. In the end, we're just talking about a fast food meal, but I hope that this at least helps give you a reference point. Personally, I'm back in California surrounded by In N Outs and I find myself wanting a P Terry's burger. Lucky for the ATX, they get both. Try it out!

In 'N Out is walking through the desert when it comes upon a mysterious lamp. After rubbing it, a genie magically appears and grants the restaurant three wishes. In 'N Out gives it some thought and says, "I wish I was a little bit cheaper," to which the genie nods. Encouraging In N' Out to continue, it asks again, "I wish I had more menu items." Finally, the In N' Out lets out a sheepish smile. "Ok, ok, I know my fries suck. I wish I had tasty fries." The genie smiles, crosses his muscular arms, and nods his head violently, with a brilliant flash of smoke. Suddenly, the In N' Out becomes a P. Terry.

We had 40 burgers and fries delivered to our wedding from Stand #31 as a late night snack. Within minutes none left... most of our guests were from out of state and we wanted to introduce them to our favorite burger place in Austin. The GM Jonathan helped me out about two weeks before to iron out details and even delivered it for us which they do not do. Mr. Jonathan Armas and his crew are superstars . I don't care who you are P Terry's is better than In n out.

Needed a quick lunch while working downtown and this place is always reliable. And Austin staple. It's always consistent and fresh on a hot day with a large sweet tea at the spot. They were quick and fast with a smile very much appreciate it.
